We accepted a referral for a girl! Now we have a son and a daughter on the other side of the world waiting to be in our forever family! YAY! We are so excited!
She is estimated to be 18 months old and is a cutie pie! Keep praying for both our African kiddos as they wait to come home and for God's continued provision!

Books we're hooked on.
About once a month I want to try to share a few books that we've been enjoying. I haven't been reading a whole lot this month besides stuff for the kids.
This months picks:
The Action Bible. Caedmon devoured this for the first few weeks after getting it! It's the whole Bible is the form of a comic. The art in it is amazingly good!
WOOF. This is an old series by Danae Dobson (James Dobson's daughter). These books were just recently given to us by Jason's Aunt Cindy. I knew my dog loving son would love them!
50 Dangerous Things (you should let your children do) by Gever Tulley. Caedmon got this book for his birthday and I LOVE it! Each page is a different dangerous thing that you SHOULD let your kids do in order for them to learn from experiment and experience. I have to say though, that my kids have already done about a third of the 50 already just because they are kids and kids do dangerous stuff. I would highly recommend this book to every family. Even if you aren't adventurous, it's a humorous read for sure!
There you go!
What are you reading these days?

The kitchen
Finally, I'm posting pictures of our kitchen. After this I just need to post basement pictures.
From the dining room.
From the family room.
From the kitchen. I LOVE having a pantry and room for the little kid table. Reagan and Payton eat there for just about every meal.

Bedrooms and bathrooms and chickens and a girl with lipstick.
Caedmon's bedroom.
Payton and Reagan's room.
Kids bathroom.
Mom and Pop's room.
Mom and Pop's bathroom.
Cute chicks are turning into messy, smelly chickens...But we still like them. They love cucumbers! And basically anything else you give them to eat.

Family room and outside
More pictures of the new place!
Looking into the family room from the entry way.
We have a fireplace! This fireplace basically heats the entire upstairs in the winter! Eventually we will have a couch in this room but are just enjoying the floor space for right now.
From the fireplace corner. Kitchen is to your right. Those pictures another day.

Our front living room and dining room.
While I'm practically living at the computer doing various adoption stuff I might as well upload a few pictures of our house. These are of the front living room and dining room. All the other rooms were too messy at the time to share. Another day...
From the front door looking to your left.
Front door and coat closet on the right.
From the dining room. Window at the front of the house and cute dog relaxing. Don't you just love my old lady couch? I do!
From the kitchen into the dining room. Eventually we will have the big table that I grew up with. It's huge and has lots of room on the benches for lots of big and little bums! :)
From the hallway/family room into the front living room.
I am so pleased with myself. The majority of my decorating is either things giving to us and just updated with spray paint or stuff from second hand stores or stuff from the side of the road or old family items. Lots of little nuggets of family history all through out our house and I love that!
