KID-isms: Funny stuff my kids say from the week, shared with you on Fridays.
Reagan and Payton talking on their play phones.
Reagan, "Yeah, yeah. Oh hi Peter Pan."
Payton, "WHAT?! You're talking to Peter Pan? He's MY boyfriend. Get off the phone with my boyfriend. (note: last week she said that she wanted to marry either her friend, Ki, or Peter Pan. Apparrently she chose Peter Pan.) Reagan, you can have Ki as your boyfriend. Call Ki."
While waiting for me to clean up the tub for their bath the girls stripped down to the nude.
Payton, "Hey mom look. We're squeezing our butt cheeks together."
I turned around to see two little bottoms being squeezed and two girls laughing really hard.
Payton singing VERY loud, "Jesus, Jesus, Jesus. Help us praise you. Help us praise you. Praise you with a whistle. (followed by whistling) Praise you with a bounce, bounce." (followed by hopping)
While snacking on some almonds Payton says a joke about making her almonds look like boobs.
Reagan, "Look, it's a boob."
Mom, "No, that's an almond."
Reagan, "It's a boob almond."
A few days later Reagan find a half eaten almond on the floor, "Look, it's a broken boob."
Mom, "No that's a yucky almond."
Reagan, "No, it's a boob."
This week I've been working in the garage to get it cleaned up. The kids have spent that time playing in the backyard getting VERY dirty and being pretty naughty. At one point I came out to check on the girls and found them sitting at the picnic table. Sandbox buckets were set all around the table and in each other was water and some veggies. At close inspection I saw that the veggies in the "soup" were the scraps that I had thrown in the compost the day before.
Mom, "What the heck are you doing? Why were you digging in the compost? That is never okay. That is nasty!"
Payton, "Moooomm, we are playing house and we needed some food."

For the girls we made these "My heart beads for you" cards. It came with stretchy string, beads, and a ring pop.
For the boys we made these "You rock my socks off" cards. It came with a pair of new socks and pop rocks.

you don't see that in public school: vol.1
My kids love boxes. I don't even know why we buy them toys. A trip to Sam's Club = a box or two to make cat houses and recliners for the front yard.
Last week was Dr. Seuss' birthday. For lunch we had green eggs and ham and read a bunch of his books...in our PJs.

A word from Roxy
Roxy here. This week my owners continued on in the administration of my humiliating life. The boy found an old hat and stuck it on me. When I finally got it off he proceeded to chase after me, yelling my name and informing me that I was fired from the job of Family Secret Agent. Big whoop kid. My eyes are much too large for me to be a secret agent anyways. I could never hide my identity. Plus I shed too much. I would leave evidence everywhere I went.
The little one that smells like pee was at least good company in my pathetic embarrassment.
They continue to fasten a black box around my neck. I still have not figured out what it is, but I do feel quite electrified when I bark for some reason. Do any of my reader have any experience with the black box and it's powers?
Attempt #5,489 to get the feline to like me-fail.

Happy 31st Birthday to Jason
On the 5th Jason turned 31. I love my old fart!
Happy Birthday Jason!
Acting like he's old enough to need reading glasses.

good intentions
I'm gonna attempt to get caught up with the last two months of pictures so that I can start fresh and be a real blogger. We'll see how it goes.
I have good intentions to join my friend Caitlin in "you don't see that is public school" on Mondays and my own version of KID-isms on Fridays. Also would like to get back to "embrace the camera" on Thursdays and I would occasionally like to write a post from time to time from the perspective of the dog and cat. AND some postings entitled "that's normal for us" with content consisting of very random, odd things my kiddos do daily. That one is for my own sanity, to help me laugh about the strange things that happen in our home instead of get annoyed by them. Trust me, I have LOTS of photos and stories to support all of these subjects and more. And somewhere in all that I'd also like to blog about all the other stuff going on. The adoption process, recipes, creative projects and more. We shall see. Don't get your hopes up for consistency though. You might not think so, but I actually do have more important things to do then inform all of you about the silly and ridiculous things going on in our house.
I just recently found out that you can write a bunch of post at one time and then set them to publish on the day you want. Yeah, I'm a little slow....or very busy....or never really cared. Anyways, I will be taking advantage of that for sure!
So on we go!
Most of the following pictures would be in the "that's normal for us" postings. Put your seat belts on.
