Discouraged

Discouragement has set in today. Discouragement and frustration but surprisingly a somewhat peaceful attitude has set in. The adoption process never seizes to amaze me with it's many, many ups and downs. There have been so many ups lately, I really shouldn't be surprised with the current down of the day. Friday we received a letter from U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services indicating that they could not process our I600A for certain reasons at this time. These problems might be able to be figured out by submitting more paperwork and having an addendum completed for our home study. Even if these problems are squared away, we may only be approved to adopt one child. The thought of this makes me absolutely sick to my stomach. After months and months of the adoption process and falling in love with the thought of another son AND daughter this is devastating news. We are praying that this will not be the case, though if it is that we would still understand that God is in control, knows what is best and that He loves orphans more then we ever could.
Pray that this bump in the road is resolved quickly as there are things that we can't move forward with until it is. Pray that whatever the outcome, whether God allows us to adopt two or one or none, that we would give Him glory in His sovereignty.

Jess, I completely understand. Our own journey has had many high's and just as many low's, not to mention attacks from the enemy. Please know that you are not alone in the wait, and we are definitely here for you. Just as God has proven faithful in our own journey, I know He will show you the way in yours. He, the provider of justice for our little ones overseas, will make all things work for good.
