Dear children . . .

. . . I am your mom and your friend, not your entertainer. If you are bored you might want to pick a few things out of this awesome list that we have created together.  


1. paint a picture
2. color
3. read a book
4. listen to a CD
5. build a city with blocks and cars
6. build a tent
7. help mom with housework
8. do a craft
9. play with you many toys
10. make a card for someone
11. work on a puzzle
12. learn to ride a bike
13. roller blade
14. make some paper airplanes
15. have Matchbox car races
16. build roads with paper or cardboard (they're doing this right now!)
17. play outside
18. write a book
19. play "guns"
20. play with the dog
21. catch fireflies when it's dark
22. clean your room
23. do a crossword puzzle
24. ask for ways to earn some money
25. play "spies"
26. learn about something new
27. play dress up
28. pretend to be a doctor, policeman, princess, superhero, Marine, investigator, musician, magician, singer . . .
29. play the air guitar while listening to really loud music
30. put on a play
31. learn how to bake cookies
32. eat them
33. draw a comic strip
34. learn to sew
35. take a nap/rest
36. play house
37. pray for someone
38. give mom a back rub
39. take a bunch of silly face pictures
40. don't waste your childhood with boredom!


My personal favorites are 29 and 32 and 38!

I love that "Watch TV" is NOT on the list. Good suggestions. Maybe I'll have to come here for ideas if I ever find myself bored. :) Not that that happens often, though sometimes I wish it would. :)
